Ever felt like this??

It's a very busy week, and it's only Tuesday! You can certainly tell it's October; the schools are back and the parish office is a blaze of activity.

Yesterday evening we had the first session of our Confirmation programme; Baptism preparation; and an enquirer into reception into the Catholic Church. All within the space of about three hours and I managed to attend part of all three - beat that if you can!

This evening we have the first Parents' Session for our First Holy Communion programme and I'm on fire with enthusiasm.

Today is also our Parish Golf Day, a fundraiser for St Anne's School Building Fund and sadly, I will have to miss the dinner in the evening. If anyone taking part has any photos of the event please email them to the parish office and I'll put them on the blog in the next couple of days.

How lucky we are to be part of such a vibrant parish and bear witness to the annual sacramental program.

On the golfing front, we had an eventful day - sadly the weather left rather a lot to be desired but in true golfing spirit we carried on wrapped from head to toe in wet gear and brandishing umbrellas when the wind abaited. The first 'team' went out at 1pm- the last teed off just before 2p.m. Because of the conditions it was a long afternoon with the last 'team' coming in just before 7p.m! However, despite the wind and rain, we have had a great day -all golfers barr one turned up and we had a full dining room for dinner from 7.30 p.m. It was a lovely occasion offering the opportunity for parishioners to come together socially and also to meet and make new friends - we have had many a promise for next year - with one proviso, that we organise better weather! Our thanks to all those who supported us - we hope to have raised a healthy sum towards the school fund. We also have to thank Cuddington Golf Club for their excellent hospitality and willingness to accomodate any request right up to the last possible moment. It was a good day and I now feel quite content, very tired and ready for bed!
