One of the things that really struck me about President Barack Obama's Inauguration Speech was how many times he referred to God.
I can't imagine any other country where this would have happened and as President Obama finished his speech with the words, 'God bless you, and God Bless the United States of America', we pray that God will indeed bless the new President of America and give him the grace to bring to fruition all the hopes that he embodies for so many people around the world.

Yes, I was struck by that too. What an amazing speech - and without any visible notes either!
Let's pray that he changes his mind about his pro abortion stance and doesn't make it easier to have one.
It is a pity that he does not have the heart yet, to be president for all Americans i.e. he refuses to represent the unborn and their right to life. We need to pray that the mantel of office may grace him to see the dignity of all human life from conception to natural death. Unfortunatley the signs were on the Whitehouse website of his continued support for abortion around the world on his inaugural day.
I was also struck by this, but not only in the President's speech. Many of the crowd who were interviewed before the inauguration referred openly to their faith in God. It is sad that we have come a long way from that in this country.
He is a truly amazing person of great integrity and offering us all great hope. For those who are worried they should note that he has appointed a chaplain who is totally anti abortion - he has not done this without a reason. Let us trust the Holy Spirit with this one - Obama will make a difference let us embrace him not fear him. God bless him.
Unfortunatley Sarah the pro life pastor praying at his inauguration is not his chaplain. He was chosen so as not to alienate some people. Three days after his inauguration he has by preisdential decree overturned the Mexico City agreement which will lead to further aobrtions around the globe. Have a look at this link to the US EWTN website

I wish I could share you optimism but I am afriad it is already misplaced by President Obamas actions. Lets pray he changes and does God's will.
