A & B Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes . . .

On Thursday pilgrims from across our diocese will be making their way to Lourdes for our annual Diocesan Pilgrimage led by Bishop Kieran and accompanied by many of our clergy. Among the group will be able-bodied and sick pilgrims, doctors, nurses, blue-shirted helpers and their slightly younger counterparts the 'Red Shirts' and including a number from our own parish.

Please keep them all in your prayers at this time that they will experience God's healing love in a special way during their time of pilgrimage together.
Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for us.

A little news about parish life.

On Friday 13th (!), members of the choir travelled to Brighton for our 'away day'. In all there were 19 of us meeting at Flick and Andy's flat in the Marina for coffee and snacks before heading off in various directions - some for 'le shopping', others for a walk into Brighton and trip along the pier, a few strolled out along the east quay in the Marina and four took the little train along the seafront to the pier. Some very brave souls even spent time on the beach! Two younger choir members paddled in the sea but no one managed a swim, as the sea was rather choppy! and it was a little cold!

As always on our away days, the weather was mixed and most of us ended getting soaked at some stage or other. Eventually most of us got together and spent some time warming up, inside and out, in the pub!

We then all met up again for a fish and chip supper at 5.30pm and then returned to the flat for desserts, coffee etc, general chat and entertainment provided by Michael.

All in all it was a super day!
