St John Vianney

Today at Mass we prayed for all parish priests as we celebrated the Memorial of St John Vianney, also known as the Curé d'Ars. I was touched and moved by these words in my
spiritual reading,

'On a certain occasion people asked a lawyer from Lyons returning from Ars, what he had seen there. He answered, " I saw God in a man.",

Today we ask the Lord that we may be able to say the same of each priest on account of his holiness, his union with God and his concern for souls.

If you read this blog, please pray for me.

I attended Mass this morning and
found it extremely moving to hear
the words spoken by you Fr Miceal
and Deacon Kevin in his Homily.
We are blessed indeed to have
some wonderful Priests who have
been called by God and seek to
serve Him with sincerity. I
pray that He send more Priests
to minister to us with the same
zeal - for at least 42 yrs!!
We pray for all Priests, Deacons
and Religous, especially you
Fr Miceal. God Bless you.

In Loving Memory today of Canon
Armand Carre, who on his Memorial
Card were the words of St John
Vianney: 'My God, if my tongue
cannot say, in every moment, that
I love you, I want my heart to
repeat it to you as often as I
draw breath'.

I will continue to pray for, as I already do every day. May God continue to bless and strengthen your priesthood and draw many to Christ through you.

Re the comment from 'anonymous', I can only say, 'here, here!'. You have put my thoughts into words.
